Origins Makeup

Here is the only makeup by Origins that I own at the Moment. I have used their Stay Tuned Balancing Makeup and I have also used their blush in Gilded Rose.
I currently own the GinZing Brightening Cream Eyeshadow in the shade 03 Sugar Peach. I use this when I'm on the go or as an eyeshadow base. Its very sheer. There is not much color payoff, but it still gives eyes a nice sheen that brightens.
The concealer is probably the best product out of this bunch. It is light, it doesn't cake or crease, and it covers well. a little goes a long way. The only con is the shade range. They only have three colors and the darkest one is still really light. The good thing is that it does oxidizes a little bit. I still feel that its very light though.
The mascara is ok. I would not repurchase it. the brush is big and not fluffy. It separates my lashes too much.

Another product I would repurchase is the eyebrow pencil. The color range is limited but the brunette color is an ashy medium brown that suits my hair color. The pencil is slim just like the Anastasia Brow Wiz. Unfortunately, the price is about the same as well.

Anastasia Beverly Hills and Origins

This is my eyebrow product collection. I started off with the Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil. Then I decided to try the Brow Powder Duo. I liked this combination, but I wasn't crazy about it either. When the Dip Brow came out I was somewhat intimidated by it. I thought it was going to be too much product for me. Boy was I wrong. This stuff is awesome! I am now extremely happy with my eye brow routine.

Medium brown powder and Chocolate Dip brow
The Brow Powder Duo is in the shade Medium Brown. I don't reach for this often anymore. The lighter shade is a light gray color. The darker one is a neutral medium brown. It has no red tones to it.

Here are swatches of the products.

Vanity Desk

I'm so excited! I FINALLY got a vanity desk. I went to Ikea in Burbank to purchase my desk. I bought the Micke desk in Black Brown along with the Alex drawer unit in Black Brown. The chair is called Adde.

You can see that the Alex unit is slightly shorter than the desk. It is not a huge difference so I didn't care about the height difference. I bought a vinyl place mat to have some kind of barrier to protect the desk from my laptop and makeup.

This here is the left corner of my desk. I bought the white metal ....(thing) Lol I can't think of the name for that. Anyway, I bought it at Ikea as well and it was less than $6. I can't remember the exact price.  The big crystal on the left is a huge decorative engagement ring. The flowers I bought at Michael's Craft Store some time last year. They are from the Ashland Collection. The vase was a clear one that I decorated with glitter. The tin to the right is also from the Ashland Collection at Michael's.  The ceramic dish at the bottom is from Home Goods. Its a soap dish with rhinestones along the sides. I use it as my coaster. The two clear containers are from Ikea and I keep cotton and Qtips in those.

Here we can see my lipsticks that need to be used because they are my oldest lipsticks. I have my lip liners in a clear container. The two white tin brush holders hold my clean brushes. The black tin container is for dirty brushes.

The mirror is from Ikea. I changed the black metal and painted it white. The owl is from Micheal's. I put lavender face towels in the owl because I always use a towel when doing my makeup. The brush holder is an old ceramic cube that came in a flower arrangement.

This is the corner of the desk. It has 4 shelving compartments where I store miscellaneous items.

This here is the drawer in the middle of the desk. I keep my skin care and daily makeup.

This is the top drawer of my Alex unit. Here I put a storage tray from Ikea and it helps keep things divided and organized.

These clear trays are from Target. I found them in the closet section and were about $4 each.

I keep my palettes in the third drawer. I organized the single shadows using a desk organizer tray. I had this from years ago.

Hair products and accessories

The last drawer contains Hair styling tools and Extensions.

MIlani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow

Hello!

I wanted to share with you 3 of 30 eyeshadows in the collection. I bought mine from CVS so they only had about 12 or so eyeshadows. I chose not to get more because I felt like i most likely wouldn't use the other colors since I have several palettes to chose from.
The colors I bought were Bella Caffé, Bella Gold, and Bella Teal.

I think I will have most use of the Caffé color. It is a nice transition shade for my skin color. The Teal is a gorgeous greenish blue shade. All I think of are mermaids when i see this color. The Gold is a very warm Gold. Its not light enough to use to highlight the inner corner of the eye but a very pretty color for the lids.

Here are the colors swatched on the inner part of my arm. To the left is the Bella Gold, in the middle is Bella Teal, and to the right is Bella Caffé. As you can see the Caffé color is just a bit darker than my skin color. The texture of these eyeshadows are very light and airy. At first, I thought they would feel like the Maybelline Bouncy Blush. These are not bouncy nor do they feel moist in any way. These are completely light and dry. They feel feel different from the rest of my creamy powder eyeshadows.

So here you have it. I hope you enjoy reading this. I'm a beginner so your feedback is appreciated. constructive criticism only please.

My First Post

So I kept debating on paying for my own domain name or just starting a Blog here on Blogger. It wasn't too expensive to start my own website, but then I started thinking about how often I would actually post. So I decided to give Blogger a try. I finally got my desk so I hope to at least post on a weekly basis. Any ideas on what to write about?
